Is it Really Worth it?

We live in a world obsessed with results—and that obsession can quietly shape how we judge God. In Malachi 3, the Lord confronts His people because their disappointment has hardened into accusation: “It is vain to serve God.” They measured faithfulness by short-term outcomes and decided God wasn’t worth the trouble.

But Malachi also reveals a different group within the same community—those who feared the Lord and spoke truth to one another. God heard them, remembered them, and promised a coming day when the distinction would be clear: judgment for the arrogant, and healing for those who fear His name.

This sermon calls us to resist short-window faith, anchor our hope in Christ—who endured the fire in our place—and remain faithful while we wait.
